Grunge Skeletons Pleated Half Apron
Grunge Skeletons Pleated Half Apron
This grunge-inspired half apron is made from a vintage upcycled button-down shirt, and leftover skeleton fabric from other projects.
The upcycled shirt is a red and navy plaid, yet it was begging to be a little spooky! The skeleton x-ray fabric coordinates very well despite being more of a purple. Yay color theory!
Pockets are important, so I kept the original chest pocket of the shirt, and added another square pocket with an applique detail, plus a piece of twill tape on the top edge for durability.
There's also a handy loop for your keys, ear buds, or hammer!
Any corners on the apron, such as the pocket edges, are reinforced with tack stitches.
MEASUREMENTS:
Waistband: 30"
Length of ties: 35" each
Length of apron skirt: 27"
Your clothes aren't disposable.
Neither are the clothes or linens I used to make these aprons!
Protect the clothes you already have, and give new life to these misfit materials.
I carefully craft each one to utilize as much of the material as possible. Which means they'll all be different sizes - but hey, so are we.
(Measurements of each apron are listed in the item's description!)
Seams and pockets are reinforced, so you can wash and wear for years to come.
